Food, like everything else is relative. Some peoples trash is another person’s treasure, I know that is the case for me and offal, but it also applies to $1.29 pack of noodles when you are sleeping at 6800 feet. This weekend I backpacked McNeil ridge on Mt Hood, after about 7 miles in, and a 3000′ accent simple foods become lavish dishes of flavor! You don’t need white linen when you have “spicy seafood” noodles, peanut butter M&M’s, single malt scotch, and a view like this in your dinning room.
