Anchor Brewing

For longer than I have graced this earth Anchor Brewing in San Francisco has been making a vintage Christmas ale. It was a tradition at christmas that my older brother gave these vintage magnums to us as presents. Several years ago I wrote the brewmaster at Anchor to ask about cellaring these magnums, he said that they cellar amazingly and change over time! He also mention that at Anchor their cellar archives of the vintage ale go back to 1975. So, since 2007 I have been cellaring these magnums, and I just picked up a couple 2011 bottles at Laurelhurst Whole foods yesterday. Thanks to Heather the at Whole foods for letting me know they had come in.
